We are the hands and hearts behind Patina Aura.
A small independent atelier where craft, science, and personal experience meet.
We don't outsource. We create — from raw material to finished piece.
Our Story

Hong Kong was once known as the Fragrant Harbour — named for the Kynam Agarwood that was harvested here and traded across Asia for centuries. Our story begins in that same city, but in much more recent times.
When the pandemic brought my business to a halt, my husband held things together. One day, he placed a piece of Sinking Grade Kynam Agarwood in my hands. Its layered natural fragrance and tactile character stayed with me.
That small moment became the starting point for a new idea: to bring fragrance, material, and wearable design together in a form that could be encountered throughout the day.
I wanted to share the material in a way that respects both craft and source. We formed a long-term partnership with a 600-acre Kynam agarwood cultivation base, where the trees are cultivated with long-term manual care.
That is how PATINA AURA began. Today, I am joined by a team of artisans and specialists who share this vision. Together, we create olfactory jewelry for people drawn to natural fragrance, thoughtful materials, and the details revealed over time.

Meet the Team

H. Guo
Founder & Creative Director
After her business closed during the pandemic, she began developing PATINA AURA with the support of her husband. She now leads the brand’s creative direction, philosophy, and overall vision.

Alan. Meng
Co-founder & Operations
It was his quiet act of love — placing a piece of Sinking Grade Kynam Agarwood in her hands — that set this journey in motion. He now manages material sourcing, supply chain, and brand operations, ensuring that every piece meets the highest standards of authenticity and sustainability.

Jerry. Wu
Master Enamelist
With more than 20 years of experience in enamel craftsmanship, Jerry. Wu brings intangible cultural heritage-level precision to Patina Aura. He specializes in high-fire enamel techniques, including miniature painting and champlevé. Each piece he touches undergoes 3 to 7 firings — because true brilliance cannot be rushed.

Y. Zhao
Agarwood Material Selection & Quality Specialist
Mr. Zhao is our agarwood material selection and quality specialist. He selects materials and reviews their quality with a trained eye, helping us maintain consistency in every piece.

Tom. Fang
Lead Designer
With a background in contemporary jewelry and object design, Tom. Fang translates the philosophy of “light and shadow” into tangible forms. He balances the organic texture of Kynam Agarwood with the vibrant precision of enamel, creating pieces that are both wearable and deeply meaningful.

Oud
Mascot & Chief Joy Officer
Oud came to us from the hills near our partner cultivation base and never left. A small local hunting dog with a big personality, she is the unofficial guardian of our studio — and the official keeper of smiles. Whether she’s napping beside the enamel kiln or greeting every package before it ships, Oud reminds us daily: even in stillness, there is warmth; even in craft, there is joy.
